Man sentenced after XL Bully injured two people in Bradford

A MAN has been sentenced after a dog injured two people in Bradford.

Daniel Wetherell, 29, of Amundsen Avenue, in Swain House was sentenced for three dangerous dog offences in relation to an XL Bully he owned or was in charge of, named Lady, at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on March 26.

Lady was "dangerously out of control" in Kings Drive, in the Wrose area on April 10 last year and injured a woman and a man, according to court records.

Wetherell was sentenced for two charges of being owner/person in charge of dog dangerously out of control causing injury and one of being the owner/person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.

The 29-year-old was ordered to pay £150 to each of the victims, as well as compensation of £500 for the no injury offence.

His sentence included costs of £85.

Wetherell was not banned from keeping a dog.

Court records said: "Court deems defendant is a fit and proper person to own dogs."
