Yellowstone boss's new show casts Jon Hamm
Yellowstone boss Taylor Sheridan's new show Landman has cast Jon Hamm.
Fresh off the fifth season of Fargo, where he played the appalling Sheriff Roy Tillman, Hamm joins Bad Santa's Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore in the cast as Monty Miller.
Deadline reports that Hamm's character is a "titan of the Texas oil industry" who has a relationship stretching back years with Thornton's Tommy Norris.

Landman, which will air on streaming service Paramount+, has been described as a "modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs".
It's based on an 11-episode podcast titled Boomtown and reunites Sheridan with Yellowstone's James Jordan and 1923's Michelle Randolph.
The show will also feature Heroes' Ali Larter, Fate: The Winx Saga's Paulina Chávez, The Good Doctor's Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie from The Punisher, and Jacob Lofland, who will appear in Joker: Folie à Deux later this year.
Filming is now underway in and around the Texan city of Fort Worth.

In addition to playing the villainous Sheriff Tillman in Fargo, Hamm's recent credits also include a key role on season 3 of Apple TV+ newsroom drama The Morning Show as tech boss Paul Marks.
He's also recently signed up for another Apple TV+ show called Your Friends and Neighbors – his first lead role in an ongoing drama series since Mad Men ended in 2015.
Hamm will star as Coop, a recently-divorced hedge fund manager who turns to stealing from his wealthy neighbours to maintain his high-end lifestyle.
He's also signed up to reprise his role as radio journalist Fred Heckman from the audio drama American Hostage, in a TV adaptation of the podcast.
Landman will air on Paramount+.
