Yeovil College inspires future careers with engaging taster sessions

Yeovil College has helped year ten and year eight students eager to explore future career paths.

From July 2 to July 4, the college welcomed young learners to experience college life through interactive and engaging taster sessions.

Designed to inspire and inform, the event allows students to participate in hands-on sessions across various subjects, providing valuable insights into potential careers and educational journeys.

Mark Bolton, principal and CEO at Yeovil College said: "Our taster sessions are a snapshot of the vibrant student community and the supportive environment that Yeovil College offers. We believe that it’s never too early to start thinking about the future, and we are here to guide these young minds towards their aspirations."

Yeovil College was exclusively open for the visiting students and their school teams. In addition to educational sessions, fun and engaging lunchtime activities themed around the Euros had been organised. These activities aim to provide a well-rounded and independent experience, fostering new friendships and connections among students.

Schools in attendance included Preston School, Westfield Academy, Beaminster School, Holyrood Academy, Sir John Colfox Academy, Stanchester Academy, Ansford Academy, Bucklers Mead Academy, Gillingham School, Gryphon School, King Arthurs School, Thomas Hardye School, and Wadham School.
