Llinos Medi has been elected MP in Ynys Mon. This is a big seat in Wales and has been a three-way tie for most of the campaign with Labour, Plaid Cymru and the Conservatives all campaigning hard here.

It was one of four seats described as too close to call in the dying days of the campaign. Ms Medi, the leader of the island's council, was emotional after being elected on Friday morning. Former MP Virginia Crosbie has lost her seat.

Ynys Mon is the only Welsh seat not impacted by a boundary review which has changed all other Welsh Westminster seats. As an island, it received protected status.
