Brentford's Yoane Wissa didn't hide his displeasure with manager Thomas Frank after he was denied a chance to secure a hat-trick against Luton Town, although his team won 5-1 at Kenilworth Road in the Premier League.

Wissa played brilliantly and scored two goals within the first half for the west London side, drilling an impressive strike from the edge of the box after 24 minutes and neatly finishing from six yards out before in stoppage time.

But despite his performance, he was replaced after 82 minutes when Ethan Pinnock and Keane Lewis-Potter had already extended Brentford's lead, as Kevin Schade added the fifth goal before Luton tallied a late consolation. Regardless of his team's celebratory mood, Wissa was visibly upset.

Post-match, the DR Congo international sat on the bench with his chin resting in his hands when others were celebrating. His disappointment was emphasised when he revealed his thoughts about missing the chance for a hat-trick and being substituted.

"Definitely, definitely," voiced Brentford's star player. "I want to score a hat-trick. It is the first time I ever had the chance. Especially because we were obviously flying out there. I wanted a hat-trick, so unlucky on myself", reports the Mirror.

Wissa, Brentford's leading scorer this season, has netted eight times, outpacing both Bryan Mbeumo and Neal Maupay who have each scored eight goals. His scoring prowess ensured that the absence of Ivan Toney from Frank's squad due to a hip injury was not felt.

The win propels Brentford to 14th place in the Premier League, a comfortable 10 points ahead of Luton in 18th. In other news, Burnley managed to close their survival gap with a resounding 4-1 victory over Sheffield United away from home.

The Clarets are now just three points behind Nottingham Forest, who have a game in hand.
