You Only Have One More Day To Upgrade To Windows 10 For Free

Microsoft’s Windows 10 upgrade will cease to be free as of tomorrow, so users who have not yet taken advantage of the deal need to act quickly.

The tech giant first unveiled its biggest software update yet a year ago and offered it as a free update to those already using Windows 7 or Windows 8 - but only for a limited time.

The deal officially ends on 29 July at 23:59 UTC-10, which makes the cutoff point 10:59am on 30 July UK time (Saturday morning).

Windows users who don’t take advantage of the free upgrade before the deadline will have to pay £99.99 for Window 10 Home if they want the firm’s latest software - or £189.99 for the Pro version.

While the major software overhaul received good reviews on its release, Microsoft has faced criticism for its aggressive campaign to get Windows 7 and 8 users to install the update.

Some users even claim that software had started to install without their permission.

For those who do want to upgrade to Windows 10 before the deadline, Microsoft has provided some handy guidelines on its website.
