Zara McDermott asks fans for support as Strictly Come Dancing confirms new routines

The BBC ballroom show has announced this weekend's dances

Zara McDermott has told fans she needs their support as she tackles the Quickstep on Strictly this week.

The Love Island star and her pro partner Graziano Di Prima will be performing the dance to Anyone For You (Tiger Lily) by George Ezra.

Posting on Instagram as this weekend’s dances were announced, she revealed the pair had really been putting in the hours to perfect their moves.

“We need your support this weekend guys… we are have worked so hard this week on our quickstep and we cannot WAIT to show you all,” she said.

McDermott is performing one of three Quicksteps this weekend, with Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin doing the dance too.

Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk will be doing the only Tango, performing to Somebody Told Me by Måneskin, while Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola and Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Lauren Oakley all have Foxtrots.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell and Nikita Kanda and Gorka Márquez will be dancing the Charleston, while Nigel Harman and Katya Jones have the Viennese Waltz.

Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice are continuing their journey on the BBC ballroom show with a Salsa to Oye by Gloria Estefan, while Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu will be hoping to impress the panel with a Jive.

Week One saw a flurry of Cha Cha Chas, but this week there will be just one from Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer. They will be dancing to Rie y Llora by Celia Cruz.

Jody Cundy and Jowita Przystał are braving the Paso Doble, one of the more challenging dances, and Les Dennis and Nancy Xu will be doing a Samba.
