Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne, is a well-known figure in the public eye. However, many may not be aware that she has a half-sister.

Zara and her brother Peter Phillips are the offspring of Princess Anne, who is currently hospitalised following an 'incident' believed to involve a horse, resulting in concussion, and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips.

The pair were wed from 1973 until 1992. Following their divorce, Mark found love once more with Hawaiian equestrian Sandy Pflueger.

The couple had one child, Stephanie Phillips - Zara and Peter's half-sister - before parting ways on May 3, 2012.

Despite her Royal connections, Stephanie has maintained a low profile. She was educated at the esteemed Dean Close School in Cheltenham, before pursuing business management at the University of Worcester, reports the Mirror.

To support her student lifestyle, Stephanie even took up work as a barmaid in a local pub, according to the Express.

Stephanie spent her childhood at Aston Farm on the Gatcombe Estate, where Princess Anne's recent accident occurred. This location is in close proximity to her Royal half-siblings, as Anne's former husband continued to reside there post-divorce in 1992.

Stephanie, the half-sister of Zara Tindall, has a deep-rooted love for horses and riding, a passion she shares with her sibling. Given that their father Mark is an Olympic gold medallist in equestrian for Great Britain and their mother Sandy was part of the US Olympic dressage team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, it's no surprise Stephanie has followed suit.

She has participated in numerous competitions and continues to serve as an active member of the dressage and eventing jury, even being part of the jury during the 2016 Olympics.

An accomplished rider herself, Stephanie has competed at events such as the Barbury International, Wellington International Horse Trials, and the West Wiltshire trials. She also enjoys travelling, often sharing photos from her trips around the world, including visits to Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, and Slovenia.

Stephanie maintains a close bond with her Royal relatives. She served as a flower girl at Zara's wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011 and Peter's wedding to Autumn Kelly in 2008.

In a heart-warming gesture, she asked Peter's daughters Savannah, 11, and Isla, 10, and Zara's daughters Mia, 8, and Lena, 4, to be her flower girls at her own wedding in 2022. Princess Anne was also present on the special day.

The Worcester-based eventing professional has previously referred to Peter as 'the best big brother out there' in an Instagram post, and she is often spotted with them at eventing competitions - in one amusing photo, she was seen giving her brother-in-law Mike Tindall a piggyback.

Stephanie exchanged vows with William Hosier in July 2022 at St Mary The Virgin Church in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. The couple shared their engagement news in September 2021, after he popped the question with a sapphire and diamond oval ring.
