Yahoo News Zendaya Wears Vintage Mugler Couture Robotic Bodysuit at ‘Dune: Part 2’ Premiere in London
Zendaya stunned crowds in a chrome bodysuit pulled from a 1995 Mugler Couture collection for the Dune: Part 2 world premiere in London on Thursday.
The futuristic look, befitting of the movie in which Zendaya stars, featured shiny sleeves, gloves and pants set over clear plastic. She paired the outfit with a heavy diamond necklace.

Per Vogue, Mugler’s original Fall/Winter show “was memorable more for its performance by James Brown; its cameos by the likes of Tippi Hedren, Patty Hearst, and Veruschka; and its rather liberal use of fetishistic latex.” The description goes on to describe the collection as a “frightening and tantalizing image for the dawn of the Internet age, and a fitting end for this list of the nineties’ most unforgettable fashion shows.”
The whole Dune: Part 2 cast dressed to the nines for the film’s premiere in London’s Leicester Square on Thursday. Austin Butler and Florence Pugh joined original stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya for the event, along with castmembers Josh Brolin, Léa Seydoux, Rebecca Ferguson, Souheila Yacoub, Stellan Skarsgard and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Dune: Part Two picks up where the first film left off — Paul Atreides (Chalamet) finally reaches Chani (Zendaya) and joins forces with the Fremen to bring down the evil Harkonnen. Originally scheduled to release in 2023, the film was pushed to March amid the actors strike.
First reactions from the film’s premiere were overwhelmingly positive Thursday, with one critic saying the movie should be considered writer-director Denis Villeneuve’s “magnum opus.”
“Throwing you right into the action, it is totally immersive, gripping, and ultimately devastating,” critic Emily Murray continued. “Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya have never been better. Just truly remarkable filmmaking — I’m in awe.”
