'Mum, where's dinner? We're starving!': Adorable images of baby owls waiting to be fed

There was only one thing on the minds of these baby owls when they were pictured peering out from their nest: 'Where's dinner?'

Wildlife photographer Richard Peters was lucky enough to capture the heart-warming moment as the three Little Owls waited for their mother to return to the nest.

Like many birds at this time of year, their mother was busy feeding up her young.

Mr Peters said that he watched the female moving about on farmland in Sussex last week for a long period of time before she swooped down on her prey.

Fortunately for the chicks, she soon returned to the nest with various grubs and insects for dinner.

Mr Peters said: 'When the mum landed at the edge of the nest, the baby owls would immediately appear. She would feed them, before flying away in search of more food.'
