Cheryl Cole Misses Out On X Factor Place

It's Official: Cheryl Cole Has The Ex Factor

Cheryl Cole has been left out of the judging line-up for the UK version of ITV's X Factor, it has been confirmed.

Pop mogul Louis Walsh will be joined by Take That's Gary Barlow, international star Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos of urban hip-hop band N-Dubz.

That means there is no place for Cole, who was recently axed from the US version of the show.

Former judge Simon Cowell said: "These four are totally up for it, each of them bring a different attitude.

"They have had a ton of hits between them and they are all committed to finding a star.

"I have a feeling Louis and Tulisa will have slightly different points of view as to what the next star should look and sound like."

Following her sacking from the US version, Cowell had reportedly given her a strict deadline to say whether or not she wanted to come back.

But it was claimed that the former Girls Aloud star, 27, had refused to commit at such short notice.

Walsh had said he would love her to return, adding: "We would welcome her back with open arms.

"I'm surprised about what happened to Cheryl in the US but yes, I'd like her back on the UK show."

Pundits are now speculating about Cole's next move, with a switch to a judging role on BBC show The Voice being one possibility.

The X Factor has been in a state of flux following Dannii Minogue's sudden departure.

Barlow said: "My one goal is to find a global superstar. If I don't find one, I won't have done my job."

Tulisa, 22, said: "I'm not going to be afraid to speak my mind and mix things up a little."

Rowland said that she was thrilled to be heading to one of her "favourite places in the world".

Following Cole's return to the UK, it has emerged that the singer was under pressure to lose as much as two stone ahead of her ill-fated appearance on the US X Factor.
