Christine McGuinness has told fans something she 'ever thought she'd say' as she addressed her sex life after her split from ex-husband Paddy. The former couple announced their separation back in 2022 after after 11 years of marriage.

Christine, 36, and Paddy, 50, however, continue to maintain a strong relationship as they live together while co-parenting their three children - twins Leo and Penelope, 10, and Felicity, aged seven - and still live together in their Cheshire family home.

Since their split, the pair have been quizzed on how they cope living together while also being asked about any updates in their new individual love lives. But Christine, who was diagnosed with autism a couple of years ago, previously told how she isn't quite ready to get back to dating.

Now, the mum-of-three has been quizzed on being 'celibate'. Speaking on the Big Fish podcast with Spencer Matthews, Christine stated it wasn't a "choice" to be celibate, adding: "It’s just where I am at in my life right now: I want to focus on me. I’m also quite realistic about what I can and can’t do.

"I don’t want to put myself in a position where I’m spending time with someone and it may develop into a relationship and I’m not quite ready for that." She added: “I met my ex-husband when I was 19. I’ve been separated for two years and never had time for myself. I’m not in a big rush."

As a clip from that part of the interview with former Made in Chelsea star Spencer was shared on social media, Christine typed on her Instagram Story: "Celibate and satisfied! Not something I ever thought I'd say!" with a laughing emoji.

She also shared the clip to her main Instagram grid and told her fans and followers: "Celibate and satisfied.. for now! I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone, to experience, appreciate and love yourself. Full podcast out now @bigfish.pod @globalplayer."

And her fans and followers were quick to show their support. @gorman7190 said: "It’s quite inspirational to watch you Christine, unapologetic for how you want to live your life." @theexecutivemenopausecoach commented: "So sensible Christine! What an amazing mum you are… be kind to yourself too." @stuartjoszko74 added: "Well said, you will know when it's the right time Christine. You are channelling your energy in other projects."
