Company sells furry ‘Rectum’ and ‘Anus’ toys for kids

They may not be every parent’s idea of a perfect furry companion for their children - but a company is offering furry ‘Rectum’ and ‘Anus’ toys this Christmas.

The anatomically correct furry organs cost £12.50 each on mail order from American firm I Heart Guts and come with amusing facts - and even theme songs.

The rectum’s ‘favourite song’ is Drop It Like It’s Hot by Snoop Dog - and it’s job is described as ‘waste disposal.’

Maker I Heart Guts describes the organ as, ‘The Hershey Highway’, referring to a popular American chocolate bar, and saying, ‘The butt of many jokes, the rectum plays a serious role when it comes to pooping.

‘This fecal loading dock is lined with nerve endings that, when filled with poop, tell the brain to find a bathroom pronto. Strong muscles push the poop out of the rectum and through the anus and, if you’re lucky, into the toilet!’

The toys have been a hit online with trendy American families - Wired says, ‘Imagine the fun of saying ‘Go upstairs to bed, sweetie, and don’t forget your pancreas!’

As well as the plush bowels and anus, the company also makes other organs such as liver, lungs, brain, prostate and mammary glands, each with their own amusing/educational descriptions.

Washington-based company founder Wendy Bryan says, ‘“We like to think of the Guts as what you might find inside a dissected Hello Kitty.’

‘The guts great from a single drawing of a broken heart, after a string of bad hookups, dead-end relationships and lame-o boyfriends. At the time, I was also doing a lot of drinking and smoking, so a sad liver and bummed-out lung followed.’
