Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff hits iPhone, iPad and Android, and yes it is like The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The mobile game of Family Guy is now available as a free download for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android and as expected it has some gameplay elements that are similar to another Fox licensed game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

The publisher and developer this time around is TinyCo, which is also responsible for other similar free-to-play world-building games, such as Tiny Village.

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff delves even more into a quest-based structure than The Simpsons, which has storylines but keeps things simple. Family Guy can require objects to be bought alongside tasks in order to unlock new characters and queue events.

Like The Simpsons, much of the objects in the game sit behind in-app purchases as you try to rebuild Quahog after disaster. But what really strikes it apart from rivals is its humour, which is very much in-keeping with the animated show.

The game is available now from iTunes App Store and Google Play.
