Hart Nominated For FIFA World XI

England's Joe Hart is among the five goalkeepers nominated for this year's FIFA World Team of the Year, the FIFPro World XI.

The 25-year-old won the Barclays Golden Glove last season, keeping 17 clean sheets and playing a crucial role in helping Manchester City to their first league title since 1968.

He also starred for the national side at Euro 2012, making more saves than any other keeper in the tournament.

Hart is one of two Premier League goalkeepers on the shortlist, with Chelsea's Czech keeper Petr Cech featuring on the FIFA shortlist after playing an integral role in the Stamford Bridge club's Champions League success.

Also nominated for the honour are Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus, Manuel Neuer of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid's European Championship winning stopper Iker Casillas.

The shortlists for the defenders, midfielders and attackers are set to be announced on 22nd, 26th and 29th November respectively.

The final XI will be revealed at FIFA's Ballon D'or gala in Zurich on Monday 7th January.
