Man Remanded Over Six Knife Murders In Jersey

A 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody in Jersey charged with the murders of six people, including his wife and children.

Damian Rzeszowski is alleged to have stabbed Izabela Rzeszowska, 30, and their children Kinga, five, and two-year-old Kacper.

He is also accused of killing his wife's father, Marek Gartska, 56, her friend, Marta Dominika De La Haye, 34, and Ms De La Haye's five-year-old daughter, Julia Frances.

Detectives waited nearly two weeks to question Rzeszowski about the attacks which took place in St Helier on Sunday, August 14.

He was treated in hospital immediately after the incident after reportedly stabbing himself in the chest.

Post-mortem examinations carried out on the six victims, who were Polish, confirmed they all died from stab wounds.

Rzeszowski will appear at Jersey's Royal Court again on October 28.
