Mila Kunis Keeps Promise And Dates US Marine

American actress Mila Kunis has kept a promise she made last summer and attended a Marine Corps ball with an Afghanistan veteran.

Kunis arrived to the venue in Greenville, North Carolina, for the Friday function with Sergeant Scott Moore.

Sgt Moore had asked Kunis out by posting a quirky YouTube video clip online, after making a bet with a fellow Marine.

The video was filmed within the confines of the base where Sgt Moore was serving his second combat deployment in Musa Qala, Afghanistan.

At the time, he said: "I always thought I had a chance, and sometimes, that's all you need."

According to a local television station near the Marine base in North Carolina, the actress was whisked away from waiting media after she arrived at the Pitt-Greenville airport.

She was taken to the ball at the Greenville Convention Centre, where the military personnel celebrated the 236th birthday of the Marine Corps.

The two were "enjoying the night," Marine spokesperson Captain Scott Sasser said.

"She's going to get a chance to learn about the Marine Corps, and we're all going to have a great time celebrating the Marine Corps birthday," he said.

Kunis, whose family emigrated from the Ukraine to Los Angeles when she was age 7, has appeared on That '70s Show. She also received wide acclaim - and a Golden Globe nomination - for her role opposite Natalie Portman in Black Swan.
