RSPB Birdwatch: Healthcheck on UK birdlife sees decline in several endangered species

The RSPB today released the results of its annual 'Garden Birdwatch' survey, which studies the numbers of Britain's best-loved bird species. Their figures showed that some of the UK's most well-known birds are in decline, including sparrows and starlings. The prolonged winter did, however, introduce some rarely-seen species into Britain's back gardens, including jays and fieldfares. Yahoo! takes a look at some of Britain's most familiar species and assesses their numbers.
