Sky Go is go, go, go.....

Sky Go is go, go, go...... Video on demand, sky go, Sky, home cinema, mobile phone apps, iphone apps, ipad apps 0

Sky Go has officially launched, that's the good news. The bad news is that the iPhone and iPad versions aren't ready yet - the launch is purely for PC and Macs.

The iOS versions should be coming "in time for the beginning of the Premier League football season" - which kicks off on 13 August (although everybody knows the real football is being played in the Championship this season - at least everyone in this corner of East London knows that).

Sky Go is Sky Player and Sky Mobile TV collaborated, revamped and wearing shiny new clothes. It will show both live streamed and catch up programming and will be free for Sky subscribers on two different devices of their choice.

Non Sky customers will also be able to sign up to Sky Go. However, they will have to pay a subscription fee with packages starting at £15 per month.

Sky has also announced that it is freezing its TV subscription prices until at least September 2012.

"We're committed to keep innovating so that our customers enjoy the best possible entertainment experience," said Andrea Zappia, MD of Sky's Customer Group.

"Sky Go is just the latest example of how we're giving people a better choice of programmes combined with better ways to watch.

"As a business fortunate enough to reach more than one in three homes in the UK, we know the economy is tough for customers and we want to help at a time when many household bills are going up.

Sky Go is available now over at go.sky.com.
