Slipknot's 'Sickening' Haunted House Scream Park

Their performances might be scary enough for some music fans but now Slipknot have launched their own haunted house theme park attraction.

The American heavy metal band's Scream Park in Sacramento, California, will feature three "absolutely sickening" haunted houses and live horror entertainment.

The announcement was made in a video featuring Shawn "Clown" Crahan who said to fans: "Let's get scared this October, the Slipknot way."

A trailer video for the event, which will run from 2 October to 1 November, was also released which gave a hint of what brave ticket-holders can expect.

There are scenes of murder, monsters and people possessed by evil spirits.

A limited number of guests will gain admission to a special Monster Energy Aftershock Pre-Party at Scream Park by showing proof of purchase of an Aftershock ticket.

Slipknot are currently on tour in North and South America but are taking a break from making any new music.

They were nominated for a best metal performance Grammy in 2014 for their song The Negative One.

It was their first new track since the death of their bassist Paul Gray in 2010.
