Chile's Calbuco Volcano Spews Ash After Laying Dormant for 42 Years

Chile’s Calbuco Volcano erupted on April 22, sending up a column of ash more than 12 miles high. Authorities issued a red alert for the area, according to a regional report. Footage shows the ash rising from the volcano, with lightning seen flashing within the column.
