Taiwan Releases Excess Water From Shihmen Dam

Shihmen Dam in the northern Taiwanese city of Taoyuan opened its flood gate to discharge excess water on Sunday, September 27, as Typhoon Dujuan approached Taiwan and caused damage on Monday. The water level at the dam was 5.2 feet from the maximum capacity as of 6am Wednesday local time.
