Woman's Body Found In Street In Rugby

Police have issued an appeal for information after a woman's body was found in the street in Rugby.

Warwickshire Police were alerted by a member of the public at about 12.15am today.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity on Wednesday night or early on Thursday in James Street or Albert Street, to come forward.

A police spokesman said: "The area around the scene is currently cordoned off to allow officers to conduct an investigation, but the roads are expected to be reopened later this morning."
