For many of us living here in the UK, it's likely we don't think too often about specific customs, traditions or historical events - but we certainly do have a lot of them.

And in order to be able to live here permanently, or gain British citizenship, there's a specific test to sit designed to quiz you on your knowledge of all things UK.

The 'Life in the UK' test is comprised of 24 questions and you must answer 75 percent of them right in order to pass. We've put together a selection of real questions taken from the test, so if you think you know your stuff, have a go at answering them.

You might find them more difficult than anticipated, so if you need some extra help, feel free to gather your friends and family and see how well you fare as a team.

The real test costs £50 each time you have to sit it, but you can take ours as many times as you like until you pass. Remember, you need at least 75 percent right, so a score of eight or higher is ideally what you're after.

Best of luck and let us know how you get on in the comments!
