Ben tries to apologise to Maggie after she found out that he spent the night in Gemma's motel room. Nothing happened between them, but it's hurtful for Maggie to know that he's moving on from their marriage much more quickly than her.

Gemma also attempts to set the record straight with Maggie, but receives a frosty response. The final straw for Maggie comes when she sees Ben and Gemma looking cosy with each other once again. She misinterprets this as more than friendship and realises she can't take any more.

Maggie decides to apply for a job transfer out of Summer Bay, and before long, her ambitions have spiralled into a permanent move to Italy.

2. Ben fights to keep Maggie in his life

Ben is shocked when he learns that Maggie is planning to leave the country. He tries to reason with her, but she vows to be on the first available flight the next day.

Ben ends up taking on board some advice from Alf, who believes he should fight for his marriage while he still can. Just as Maggie is driving out of the Bay, Ben throws himself onto her car bonnet to stop her.

3. Ryder tells Evan that he knows everything

Ryder is touched after Evan dedicated a song to him during his live music act at Salt. Having previously made out that he organised the event for an assignment, Ryder finally admits that he made the whole thing up in an effort to spend time with Evan.

Ryder wanted to create positive memories with Evan while they still had time together. Evan is surprised to learn that Ryder has known about his terminal illness for a while and regrets the fact that he wasn't the one to break the news.

Ryder panics when Evan later goes AWOL. Alf tracks Evan down at the hospital, learning that he checked himself in as a precautionary measure when his condition started to deteriorate.

When Ryder finds out that Evan's health is getting worse, he invites his dad to move in with him, Alf and Roo. Evan has other ideas and tries to leave Summer Bay on the next bus out of town, but Ryder manages to stop him just before he's about to go.

Nikau plans to flee from Summer Bay after a difficult few days. He's still upset after learning of Gemma's night in the motel room with Ben, but as his sudden decision also follows the Diner break-in, some viewers may wonder whether he has something to hide.

Tane catches Nikau preparing to leave and urges him to give it more thought.

6. Tane comes under suspicion over the robbery

When Ari finds out that somebody targeted the Diner, he fears that it's only a matter of time before the finger of blame is pointed at his family due to their criminal past. Ari worries further when he realises that Leah's description of the intruder could match Tane.

Ari ends up accusing Tane of being the mystery culprit, hurting his brother's feelings. He later apologises when he realises that he got it wrong, but with the police continuing to investigate, it's only the start of a big new drama for the Parata family.

7. Gemma arouses Colby's suspicions

Colby leads the police investigation into the Diner incident and asks all of the staff to provide their fingerprints as a routine measure. While most people say yes, Gemma declines to cooperate.

Colby later goes back to Gemma, telling her that the fingerprinting is merely to rule her out as a suspect. Gemma sticks to her original decision and insists that she doesn't consent to the fingerprinting.

8. Justin worries about Leah

Justin is alarmed when he finds out that Leah disturbed an intruder at the Diner. He fears that this incident will prove to be a major setback for Leah, who is only just getting her life back on track after her kidnap ordeal with Douglas.

Roo reassures Justin over the situation and tries to get him to think positively. Justin also stays by Leah's side as she assists Colby with his inquiries.

9. John gets some good news

John confides in Ben as his recovery from his stroke remains a slow process. He explains to his friend that he feels helpless, especially as there's no news on when he'll be discharged.

John's bad moods are also taking their toll on Marilyn, who's left to consider the implications of becoming her husband's carer. The big question she has to consider is whether she's taking on the responsibility out of love or duty.

Tori ends up taking John out for an outdoor picnic with Marilyn, recognising that he needs some time away from the hospital. After the day goes well, John is informed that he can finally be discharged.

10. Jasmine's secretive behaviour continues

Jasmine enjoys spending time with baby Grace while Tori is busy with John and Marilyn.

While everything seems fine on the surface, Jasmine later makes more concerning posts on her online mother's forum, referring to Grace as her own baby.
