Every year a bunch of celebrities go into a house, and every year at least two of them end up sneaking into each other's beds and making horrible kissing sounds that make the rest of the house want to vomit. (Bianca and Jamie, we are watching closely. Mind yourselves.)
Some struck up a romance to get themselves extra screen time, others were just bored, while for some, it seemed like love at first sight… Let's rate CBB's romances through the years, from the ones we most disapproved of, to the ones that actually warmed our hearts (within reason).
12. LEE RYAN AND JASMINE WALTZ (FT. CASEY BACHELOR)
This CBB 2014 love triangle had disaster written all over it from the start. Blue's Lee Ryan started off his stint all over glamour model Casey Bachelor, then he confessed his love for actress-model Jasmine Waltz, and once she was evicted, he jumped back into bed with Casey.
But then Jasmine returned to the house to have a massive go at Lee! DUN DUN DUN! When he got out they patched things up, and post-CBB took a holiday and shot their first magazine cover together. Then after two months she dumped him for being unfaithful, tweeting: "The minute I got home to LA, he cheated on me with a MAN! #admitUgay." Lee later called her claims "absurd".
11. STEPHEN BEAR AND CHLOE KHAN
The 2016 romance between Ex On The Beach boy Bear and Playboy bunny Chloe Khan was anything but cute. The pair angered housemates and viewers alike with raunchy lap dances, getting half-naked and licking chocolate off each other, and appearing to have sex in both the toilet and the shower.
Despite Bear basically dumping his girlfriend Lillie Gregg via the show, Chloe was there waiting for him when he won the final. Things fizzled out after that, and she moved on to Big Brother winner Jason Burrill. She likes a BB winner, does Chloe.
10. KATIA IVANOVA AND BASSHUNTER
Despite having a boyfriend when she went in, Russian cocktail waitress Katia Ivanova took quite the fancy to Basshunter (real name Jonas Altberg). She quickly regretted it, and ended their romance while still in the house due to him being too clingy. He called her a "heartbreaker". Then he made her cry by saying she was only famous for being Ronnie Wood's ex.
A few days later she suddenly decided to rekindle their romance. Definitely didn't have anything to do with her eviction, and it must have made great TV for her boyfriend and his girlfriend on the outside world.
9. LAUREN GOODGER AND RICCI GUARNACCIO
If you'd seen Ricci Guarnaccio's behaviour towards his ex Vicky Pattinson on Geordie Shore, you knew TOWIE's Lauren Goodger hooking up with him in the CBB house was a terrible idea. He was obsessed with her immediately, even jokingly proposing two days in. And she only fancied him when she was drunk.
"I think Ricci is a wicked guy but I felt like there was a bit of pressure," Lauren said when they got kicked out in a double eviction. "As time went on I just felt really cornered." He was so bad that she's now dating a jailbird.
8. NATASHA GIGGS AND KIRK NORCROSS
In his autobiography, Kirk Norcross claims to have slept with nearly a thousand women, one of them being Natasha Giggs - the wife of Rhodri Giggs (brother of footballer Ryan Giggs).
She says meeting Kirk in the CBB house made her completely rethink her marriage. Kirk does describe their tryst as being "more than a fling" so it was definitely worth sacking off the marriage for. Ahem.
7. KERRY KATONA AND LUCIEN LAVISCOUNT
19-year-old Waterloo Road actor Lucien Laviscount flirted with many women in his 2011 series of CBB, including TOWIE's Amy Childs and actress Tara Reid. But Lucien confessed he had a thing for older ladies: enter 30-year-old Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona.
The pair spent plenty of time in the house cuddled up, and even shared a kiss at one point, but it was apparently the age gap that stopped them officially dating on the outside world. "We are friends, though," Kerry told OK! Magazine. "We're friends with benefits!" That's nice...
6. LUISA ZISSMAN AND DAPPY
Theirs was a love-hate relationship. One minute reality TV star Luisa Zissman and N-Dubz bloke Dappy were snogging in the hot tub and sharing steamy showers, the next they were having a blazing row.
"Quit following me around this f**king house… F**k off! You're harassing me," she shouted at one point, before Dappy replied with: "You're a two-faced s**g!" Young love, eh? Luisa later admitted the entire romance was faked in order to clean up with lucrative magazine deals. Who said romance was dead?
5. EDELE LYNCH AND GEORGE GILBEY
Unlikely lothario George Gilbey from Gogglebox had a bit of a thing for The Hills starlet Stephanie Pratt when he first entered the house, but once she was out of the way, he moved on to B*Witched singer Edele Lynch.
After some drunken dirty dancing in the lounge, they cuddled up in bed, him wearing just his pants, and later kissed. Edele wasn't over the recent break-up from her husband, though, and despite them going on holiday to a caravan park together (yes, really), George had a baby with someone else.
4. MEGAN MCKENNA AND SCOTTY T
Despite knowing each other before the show, TOWIE's Megan McKenna and Geordie Shore's Scotty T didn't get romantic until entering the CBB house. They spent plenty of time in there kissing and cuddling up in bed, and seemed like they'd make a pretty sweet couple.
It wasn't to be in the real world, though, and Scotty blamed living too far apart and their busy schedules for things not working out. Oh, and there's the fact he started dating Miss Newcastle not long after his stint in the house, and approximately 589 other girls after that.
3. CHANTELLE AND PRESTON
Chantelle Houghton wasn't even a celebrity when she went into the CBB house, but Ordinary Boys singer Preston didn't know that, and he immediately fell for the fake 'Kandy Floss' singer. Three months after the show they were engaged, and they got married the following August.
Less than a year later (June 2007) they got divorced. Despite looking like they might rekindle their romance on Ultimate Big Brother in 2010, it didn't happen. And she ended up having a baby with Katie Price's cross-dressing ex Alex Reid. Yeah, probably shoulda given Preston another shot...
2. STEPHANIE DAVIS AND JEREMY MCCONNELL
An absolutely disastrous relationship on reflection, but (pending a paternity test) it produced the first Celebrity Big Brother baby. Even though Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis was dating model Sam Reece and claimed she wanted to marry him when she went into the house, the charms of model Jeremy McConnell were too much to resist.
The pair left the experience infatuated with each other, and a roller coaster few months ensued. Shortly after they split, she found out she was pregnant, and on Friday, January 13 she gave birth to a baby boy.
1. MARNIE SIMPSON AND LEWIS BLOOR
Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson and TOWIE's Lewis Bloor easily take the trophy for best CBB romance, purely on the grounds that they're the only couple who are still together. Despite actually breaking up for a bit going into 2017, they now seem more loved-up than ever. Of course, judging by the success of the other couples in this list, they're completely doomed and it's only a matter of time before they break up and despise each other. But for now, we wish them all the best.
