Yahoo News 13 Nottingham Forest exits confirmed as retained list marks start of summer transfer work
Nottingham Forest have confirmed their retained list following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
The Reds had already announced Wayne Hennessey, Felipe and Cheikhou Kouyate would depart at the end of their contracts, along with loanees Gonzalo Montiel, Divock Origi, Gio Reyna, Rodrigo Ribeiro and Nuno Tavares. And the club have now confirmed Harry Arter, Loic Mbe Soh and Scott McKenna will leave as free agents.
Additionally, Forest have let go of seven academy players. Kevin Adueni, Tony Gbopo, Ethan Hull, Ateef Konate, Henry Lister, Elijah Morgan and Theo Robinson will all move on this summer.
The Reds said: “The club would like to thank each player for their contribution during their time on Trentside and wish them well for the future.”

Defenders Willy Boly and Ola Aina were due to see their deals run out, but it was announced last month that both are to stay put. Boly penned a one-year contract with the option for a second year, while a one-year extension option was triggered in Aina’s deal.
While few Forest fans will mourn the departure of Arter, given he had not been part of the first-team set-up for some time, McKenna’s exit represents another one of the promotion heroes moving on to pastures new. The Scot, who spent the second half of the campaign on loan at FC Copenhagen, made the move to the City Ground in 2020 and racked up 106 appearances in the Garibaldi.
