£18,000 bike among items stolen as thief scales fence

Thieves ransacked a property in a Staffordshire village of two e-bikes and a road bike worth £18,000. A jet wash, a strimmer and sports car wheels were also swiped during the burglary in the Bilbrook area of Codsall, Staffordshire.

A suspect was captured on CCTV climbing over a fence as Staffordshire Police issued a photo of the stolen bikes. The items were stolen from a shed on Old Farm Drive at 7am on Thursday, June 6. The suspect were seen climbing over a fence that backed onto Watery Lane.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are appealing for information after £18,000-worth of bikes were stolen in Codsall. We were called at 7am on Thursday 6 June to reports that three bikes and other items were stolen from a shed on Old Farm Drive, Bilbrook, at around 1am that morning.

"Two electric bikes and a road bike, worth £18,000 collectively, were taken. A jet wash, strimmer and sports car wheels were also taken. The suspect was seen on CCTV accessing the property by climbing over fence that backed onto Watery Lane.

"We have some recent photos of the bikes that were stolen. We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area around the time to get in touch.
