An elderly man has had his bank card stolen at an ATM.

The 84-year-old was using the ATM inside a shopping centre in Langney, Eastbourne, on June 10 between 2pm and 2.30pm when he was targeted by two people.

One of them told the man that he had dropped some of his cash.

As the elderly man bent down to retrieve it, his bank card was removed from the machine.

Later that day almost £1,000 was used on the bank card.

A spokesman for Eastbourne Police said: "We are keen to speak to those pictured who may be able to help with our investigations / or if you know the identity of those pictured please contact police online or by calling 101 quoting 47240110671.

"Distraction theft techniques can be hard to spot, and we continue to encourage residents, partially those who are vulnerable to be extra vigilant around cash machines, and to report any suspicious persons or activities around cash machine/banks to report to the bank or police at the time."
