2 face drug charges after house searched in Greenville

Mar. 6—GREENVILLE — Two people are facing charges after the police searched their home in Greenville.

Grace Elizabeth Iliff, 33, of 18 S. Diamond St., Greenville, is charged with running a disorderly house, possession of marijuana, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and violating the Medical Marijuana Act, according to court documents.

Jesse Robert Klonowski, 22, also of 18 S. Diamond St., is charged with possession of marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Iliff and Klonowski are scheduled for their preliminary hearing on March 12 before District Judge Brian Arthur.

The charges against Iliff and Klonowski resulted from a police search of their residence.

Greenville police Officer Tyler McKinney said that, during another investigation, multiple people told police there had been drug dealings at 18 S. Diamond St.

After further investigation, police obtained a search warrant for the residence.

McKinney said the Pymatuning Township and Hempfield Township police departments, as well as the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, assisted the Greenville police in executing the warrant.

"Safety always comes with numbers, so the more people we can get guarantees our safety and the people's safety, and we can cover more areas of the house," McKinney said.

Police searched the residence on Feb. 14, and both Iliff and Klonowski were detained.

During a search of Iliff's room, police found two multi-colored glass smoking pipes with charred marijuana inside. Iliff told police she did have a medical marijuana card, according to the criminal complaint.

When police searched Klonowski's room, one metal marijuana grinder with marijuana inside and one altered medical marijuana container were found, the complaint states.

A photo of other items seized during the search, including suspected marijuana, suspected THC cartridges, suspected psilocybin mushrooms, suspected ketamine, money, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia was later shared on the Greenville Police Department's Facebook page.

The post commended the officers involved in the investigation and thanked the other agencies and departments that assisted with the search.

"We've had multiple search warrants served over the last year that have yielded different types of narcotics, like methamphetamine or crack cocaine," McKinney said.

"But this was one of the first ones I've seen in Greenville where we found both psychedelics and marijuana."
