Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly 'angry' with two Manchester United players in particular and is set to bring the hammer down.

The INEOS owner acquired a 25 per cent stake in United in December and has taken de facto control of the footballing operation. Fans are waiting to see what the new era will bring with Newcastle's sporting director Dan Ashworth on his way in to spearhead the INEOS era. A decision is set to be made on Erik ten Hag's future in the summer – and attentions then turn to the playing squad.

It's there Ratcliffe will really be judged in the eyes of the fans and it's claimed two players in particular have left him 'angry' already. According to a report by HITC, the players' social media activity has riled the new part-owner up and he's set to lay down the law once he gets his feet under the table.

Jadon Sancho infamously criticised Ten Hag on social media which led to his exile from the first-team squad and ultimately a loan move back to Borussia Dortmund - something Ratcliffe backed the Dutch manager over. Winger Alejandro Garnacho also recently liked tweets criticising Ten Hag and it's that kind of social media immaturity Ratcliffe wants to clamp down on.

It's claimed he won't get 'personally involved' in the discipline of players who step out of line. But equally he has made it clear to players already he won't stand for it.
