SINGAPORE — Three seniors, aged 65 to 71, were arrested on Wednesday (10 August) for fighting at a getai show in Lor Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple Association at 15 Arumugam Road.

A 69-year-old man and two women, aged 65 and 71, were arrested, the police said in response to media queries from several outlets. The older woman was taken to hospital.

The police said they were alerted to the incident at about 6pm on Wednesday. Investigations are ongoing.

A video of the incident, which went viral on social media, showed two men and a woman in a red t-shirt holding up plastic chairs.

The woman then throws the chair at another woman in a black sleeveless top, who was sitting in a chair in front of her. The woman in black stands up and grabs a chair and throws it at the woman in red.

One of the men then joins in the fight by throwing a chair at the woman in red.

During the fight, the man appears to punch the woman in red at least three times, leaving her face bloodied, while the woman in black hits her in the back several times.

A crowd that surrounds the trio later breaks up the fight.

The woman in black could be later seen holding on to the man, as the duo exit the scene.
