Rapper 50 Cent is being sued in an alleged revenge porn scandal.

Fiddy, real name Curtis Jackson, 42, is in hot water after he is said to have re-blogged an explicit photo of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Teairra Mari that was originally shared by her ex-boyfriend.

During a press conference, the 30-year-old reality star was joined by her attorney Lisa Bloom to announce that they would be filing a lawsuit against the In Da Club singer for sharing an explicit and sexual image without her consent.

The allegation claims that the image was initially shared on Mari’s own Instagram account, but without her permission, before 50 Cent and her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad picked it up and re-shared it.

She says Abdul-Ahad broke into her Instagram account and posted an image from a sex tape they’d recorded and stored on their phones. She alleges he then text her to inform her that his mobile phone had been stolen which is when he clams it happened. This happened on 8 May, which was days after the couple had split up.

Mari said she immediately changed her password but 50 Cent had already taken it upon himself to share the explicit picture.

She’s taking legal action against both men, telling reporters: ‘I’m heartbroken.’

‘I loved this man. He is saying that he didn’t do it, but I know in my heart that he did. Even though I want not to believe the lies, I have to stand up for myself so that that people don’t believe that I did it.’

Since 2013, it has been illegal in California for someone to share sexual or nude images of someone with the intent of causing distress.

50 Cent has already been hit with a $7 million court-ordered judgement for previously posting a revenge porn sex tape.

After sharing the one featuring Mari, the star had the post removed by Instagram as it broke their terms of use – prompting the rapper to complain that he was being censored and threaten to leave the platform.

The news comes after just this week Ex on the Beach star Kurtis Hartman was convicted of sharing a sexually explicit image of his ex-girlfriend and being found guilty of revenge porn in a court of law.
