Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Pierre

Breed - Lurcher crossbreed

Colour - Brindle

Pierre is a dog described as having a "real zest for life" and is looking to join an active family.

He came into the care of the RSPCA due to welfare concerns and it became clear he had lacked socialisation with other dogs and people.

Pierre has been on a training plan since then which has improved his behaviour significantly.

The RSPCA adds: "While his training journey continues, prospective adopters should be ready to guide him through behavioural challenges, confident that his vibrant personality will ultimately shine through, enriching their lives for years to come."

Lynn

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Tabby

Lynn is described as a shy cat who will need a bit of time to get used to human interaction.

She will need understanding owners who will let her have her own space and allow her to come over to them when she wants attention

Lynn has lived with a cat before, she may be able to live with a friendly cat again if given the time and space.

Coral

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Ginger and White

Coral is currently staying in a foster home with her siblings but she is looking to find a more permanent place.

She will require someone home for most of the day to spend time socialising.

Coral could live with another cat and a dog given time and space to get to know each other.

Trevor is described as a "sweet" rabbit who is "hoping to find his new forever home with a female rabbit for company".

He has been shown to appreciate his freedom in running around the garden and house, so would not suit living in a hutch all the time.

Trevor has previously lived as an indoor rabbit.

Mickey

Mickey came into the care of the RSPCA due to his owner passing away, and he is now looking for his forever home.

Mickey came in overweight, has lost a small amount and will need to continue to lose weight in his new home.

Mickey could live with another cat, given time and space, and any children in the home would need to be over the age of 13.
