70 firefighters tackle Primrose Hill blaze that raged for 90 minutes

The London Fire Brigade was called to a fire in Primrose Hill today (May 4). Fire crews were called at 9.31am to a house fire on Elsworthy Road in Primrose Hill.

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters responded to the fire. Half of the second floor in a detached house of three floors was damaged.

The brigade deployed a 32-metre ladder to fight the fire. They also used the drone team to monitor the incident from above.

The fire raged for 90 minutes, with the blaze under control by 11.05am. Firefighters from West Hampstead, Paddington, Kentish Town and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's Fire Investigation team.
