Man, 70, had skull fractured and lost hearing in one ear after Brent ATM robbery

Police have released an image of two people they'd like to speak to after a 70-year-old was violently robbed. The attack took place in Brent on March 31.

The police were called to Ealing Road in Wembley after the man was attacked while withdrawing money from a cash machine. While he was withdrawing the cash, a man approached him from behind.

He then assaulted the victim and knocked him to the ground, leaving him unconscious. As he lay motionless, a woman stole his cash from the machine before both the suspects ran away.

Both the police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the 70-year-old was taken to hospital. His injuries included a fracture to the skull, and as a result of the attack he's lost his hearing in one ear and has mobility issues preventing him from working.

Detective Sergeant Muhamed Ahmed from the Priority Crime Unit which covers Wembley said: "We have searched through many hours of CCTV and we believe we know who we are looking for - a woman can be seen in a fur hoodie with camouflage trousers hovering around the area where the ATM machine is.

"The same woman can then be seen speaking with another suspect, a man with a dark beard wearing a jacket with the hood up. The CCTV then later shows them both running away after the robbery.

“I am appealing to the public for help - if you know or recognise either of the suspects then please come forward to police. This was a premeditated attack which left an elderly man injured.

"I ask you to come forward by calling 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD5682/31MAR24. You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
