A Place In The Sun star Danni Menzies has revealed her face will be permanently scarred after being hit by a stolen moped.

The TV presenter was left with facial injuries after she was struck by a stolen moped that lost control and struck her on the pavement in London in September.

Menzies shared the first picture of her face on social media since the incident, revealing a new haircut, concealing her forehead with a fringe as she hugged her mother.

She wrote: "A few weeks of hiding away and I’m getting back to normal, gonna have a scar but seems I got a fringe cut at the right time! Little wins.

"Very luck to have had this woman reorganising my life and keeping me occupied for the last week."

The Scottish star's mother has been staying with her since the accident.

Menzies previously shared a picture of herself indulging in some "garden therapy with Mumma" at her home, hiding her face behind her arm.

Pictures of the former model were published following the collision showing her with a deep cut above her right eyebrows as well as cuts and grazes to her chin and lip.

Menzies was leaving a newsagent near her home in South London when she was hit by a moped driven by two females who had reportedly attempted to steal the unattended vehicle and lost control while driving at 30 mph.

The presenter shared a picture of the moped lying next to a lamp post on the pavement on her Instagram stories and wrote: "Sooooo…. On Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!) by a stolen moped that lost control.

“Didn’t see it coming and it’s not looking pretty right now tbh.

“I’m sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime I will be a wee bit quiet on here.”
