THREE nights of closures on a major road near McDonald's are among six new public notices across south Essex this week.

The Cranes Industrial Estate slip road to the A127 from its junction with Gardiners Link roundabout in Basildon will be shut for three nights while telecom build works are carried out by Hutchison 3G.

These will be in place between 9pm until 5am from May 20.

An alternative route is available via Gardiners Link, Gardiners Link Roundabout, Christopher Martin Road, East Mayne, Nevendon Road Roundabout, and Southend Arterial Road slip road from A132 to A127 London-bound.


There will also be five nights of closures on the A127 London-bound in Rayleigh from a point where the off slip Road from the A127 to A129 is to a point where the on slip road is.

These will be in place from May 20 between 9pm and 5am while highway pump station maintenance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.


Dry Street, in Langdon Hills, is closing from its junction with Southway to its junction with One Tree Hill while Openreach carries out cabling works.

The closure will be in place for one day from May 24.

An alternative route will be available for drivers via Dry Street, High Road, Staneway, Laindon Link Roundabout, Laindon Link, Roundacre New Roundabout, Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout, Nether Mayne and vice versa.


Hutchison 3G will also be carrying out telecoms works in South Wash Road, Noak Bridge, from May 20.

This will shut the road for two nights, between 9pm and 5am.


Stock Road in Billericay will be shut off for three nights from Friday, May 10 for fence replacement works.

These closures will be in place from 11pm until 5am while Network Rail Infrastructure carries out these works.

An alternative route will be available via Stock Road, Radford Way, Mountnessing Road, London Road, High Street and vice versa.


Smallgains Lane in Stock is set to shut for 15 days while UK Power Networks carries out new connection works.

The road will close from west of its junction with Marigold Lane on May 8.

Drivers will be diverted via Smallgains Lane, Stock Road, High Street, Mill Road, Well Lane, Smallgains Lane and vice versa.
