Celebs, they’re just like us: itching to catch up with friends in a social setting outside of a pub garden and last night, a host of them did just that.

Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, Love Island host Laura Whitmore and models Leomie Anderson and Neelam Gill flocked to the National Portrait Gallery for a private view of a new  portrait titled ‘The Mandalorian and the Child.’

Anderson rocked an all-black ensemble from her newly-launched athleisure brand LAPP while Whitmore kept it warm and cosy in leather trousers and the ruffled Mira jumper from French Connection (£85, buy now.)

The private view was held in conjunction with the launch of the second series of The Mandalorian, which launches on Disney+ today (October 30).

Popular characters from the Lucasfilms-produced series, notably The Mandalorian and the Child, are seen in the portrait and have since become global icons after the first season first aired earlier this year.

The 3ft by 2ft oil portrait will hang alongside some of the National Portrait Gallery's own collection of portraits of familiar faces from the Star Wars galaxy.
