The Emmerdale actor is thought to be heading to the Australian outback later this year as ITV bosses are desperate to get him on the next series of the jungle-based show in order to provide viewers with “eye candy”, according to the Daily Mirror.

The heartthrob - who is known for playing farm boy Adam Barton in Emmerdale - will reportedly rub shoulders with the likes of Ukip leader Nigel Farage, Spencer Matthews and TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent if he agrees to head Down Under for the forthcoming series.

The 27-year-old actor is no stranger to reality TV as he made a brief cameo on Love Island last month to give his twin brother Scott some home truths on his housemates.

Adam isn’t the only Thomas brother being lined-up for a reality TV series this year as his older brother Ryan - who was known for playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street - is being tipped for Strictly Come Dancing.

However, bosses are rumoured to be reconsidering their offer after Ryan made it clear he wanted to move across the pond in order to carve out a potential film career in Hollywood.

As well as starring in Emmerdale, Adam is also known for his role as Donte Charles in BBC series Waterloo Road.
