Aerial footage shows damaged buildings in the Hatay province of Turkey on Wednesday, February 8, two days after powerful earthquakes struck the region.
Video released by the Turkish Ministry of Defense shows Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar and Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca in a helicopter over damaged parts of Hatay’s Samandag district.
Speaking on Wednesday, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the latest figure for confirmed deaths in his country was 8,574, media reported. He said an additional 49,133 people were injured and 6,444 buildings had collapsed. Credit: Turkish Ministry of Defense via Storyful
