AEW announces match based on iconic horror series All Elite Wrestling (AEW)

AEW has given us many unique matches so far in its four-year history. We've had Stadium Stampede, Anarchy in the Arena, and even Mimosa Mayhem.

The company has also had a few tie-ins with entertainment franchises in its time, from House of the Dragon to Shazam.

Now AEW has taken things to the next level, announcing a new match based on the iconic horror franchise The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

On Collision (August 12), Jeff Jarrett announced that the first-ever Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship will take place on this week's Dynamite (August 16) between him and Jeff Hardy.

The match is the result of a partnership between AEW and Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game, which will be released on Friday, August 18.
