'So Afraid': River of Muddy Floodwater Swamps Neighborhood in South of Spain

A river of muddy floodwater swamped a neighborhood in Murcia, southern Spain, as heavy rainfall hit the region on Wednesday, June 12.

The video here, captured by local Thayla Samea, shows a mud river raging down the street.

Samea told Storyful that she had just come back from the gym and was “so afraid” by the speed with which the flooding arrived. “If I hadn’t gone home earlier, I wouldn’t have been able to get in,” Samea said.
