Aid Parcel Dropped in Khan Yunis Flattens Tent

An aid parcel dropped in Khan Yunis at the weekend flattened a tent that was described as belonging to a displaced family.

Footage of the drop was captured by Hamed Elmansi. Multiple people are seen running towards the package after it hits the tent.

The Sameer Project, a volunteer-organization in Gaza, said that they had given the family affected a new tent, but that all of their belongings had been destroyed by the falling package on June 23.

A woman from the family appeared in a video posted by the Sameer Project, where she said they were grateful to receive the new tent, adding that they were “exhausted from being displaced.” Credit: Hamed Elmansi via Storyful
