Air France announce new Edinburgh flights to Brazil, the Maldives and Sweden

A popular airline has announced new Edinburgh flights via Paris to popular destinations ahead of the winter months.

As part of an expansion to their winter network, Air France will be able to fly holidaymakers to five additional routes via the French airport, including three new locations.

Passengers will be able to take off from Edinburgh to Salvador (Brazil), Malé (Maldives) and Kiruna (Sweden) via the France airport, Charles de Gaulle, alongside Denver, Colorado and Phoenix - providing connections to the United States.

Three flights a week will take off to Salvador, beginning from October 28, 2024. Flights will be operated on Airbus A350-900s equipped with 324 seats - 34 in Business, 24 in Premium Economy and 266 in Economy. It will be Air France's 5^th destination in Brazil, after Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza and Bélem.

Up to two flights a week will be scheduled for Malé in the Maldives on Fridays and Sundays from December 20, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Flights will be operated on Airbus A350-900s equipped with 292 seats.

One flight a week will be heading to Kiruna in Sweden beginning December 21, 2024, operated on Airbus A319s. After Rovaniemi (Finland), Kittilä (Finland), Tromsø (Norway) and Narvik Lofoten (Norway, only operated in summer), Kiruna will be Air France’s 5th destination in Lapland.

Over the winter, the airline will extend its service to Denver (Colorado, USA) and Phoenix (Arizona, USA), with three flights a week to each city, departure from their hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
