'Big Brother' star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace mugged on night out with Nicola McLean

Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has revealed she fought back after being attacked by muggers on a night out.

The 43-year-old model and actor was leaving a bar in London's Soho with fellow reality star Nicola McLean to find their taxi when thieves tried to grab her bag and watch.

But Horgan-Wallace - who rose to fame after competing in the 2006 series of Big Brother - attempted to fight off her attackers as she has been training for Celebrity MMA.

The Anuvahood actor was left with bruises to her eye and jaw.

Horgan-Wallace told The Sun newspaper: "I just thought no - you're not getting my stuff. I was struck a good few times, but I do feel like I got a few punches in as well."

Detailing the attack she said: "I don't know why but my instinct was to fight back - maybe it's all this training I'm doing."

She added: "I want to think that they left because I was super-strong but it's probably because we were screaming."

The model admitted that after the incident was over the "fear set in" and she felt "horrible".

Horgan-Wallace has one black eye and injuries to her jaw which make it painful to smile. She said the bruising is now spreading to the other eye.

The reality TV star was a contestant in the seventh series of Big Brother on Channel 4.

She finished third in the series and shared the house with the late Nikki Grahame, who recently died after battling anorexia.

She took part in Ultimate Big Brother in 2010 and has appeared in shows including Celebrity Coach Trip, Judge Rinder and was a panellist on Big Brother's Bit On the Side on Channel 5.

Horgan-Wallace revealed in 2018 that she had been held at gunpoint by thieves who raided her home.

Earlier this year she suffered whiplash in a go-karting accident, shortly after she revealed on social media she had been treated in hospital for pneumonia.

Celebrity MMA — which will also feature Katie Price’s fiance Carl Woods — is due to take place on 24 June at the OVO Arena Wembley and will be live streamed on pay-per-view channel Fite.TV.
