Made In Chelsea will gain it’s first ever black cast member when Akin Solanke-Caulker joins the hit E4 show next month.

The rising reality TV star is originally from east London but qualifies to join because he’s school friends with MIC favourite Aex Mytton and now lives in Parsons Green near Chelsea.

He’s looking forward to shaking things up in west-London and describes himself on social media as “the best looking sports agent on the globe” and being single, one of his objectives will surely be to cause a stir among the MIC ladies.

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Akin revealed he prefers petite brunettes over blondes, saying: “I’ve been single for the last eight years but I’m not a complete savage.

Quite easily one of the best looking sports agents the world has ever seen. Best dressed no question

“The closest to my target is probably Louise Thompson, she’s quite captivating but she has a boyfriend now anyway.”

Following the news, he received congratulations from Ferne McCann – who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex.

Meanwhile, Akin admitted he’s not like regular cast members – such as Millie Mackintosh – as he isn’t heir to a biscuit empire and doesn’t come from old money.

He said: “I’m not an heir to any biscuit throne or anything of that nature.

“I’m a bit of a hybrid really; my friends call me Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

The MTV show has previously cast ethnic minority people in cameo roles but Akin will break the mould as the first permanent black MIC star and he’s looking forward to representing a wider audience.

He added: “It’s definitely overdue, they need a black person on the show; my mum keeps saying I’m representing.

“I’m not just representing myself but I’m representing other people that look like me, not just the racial side of things but also people who are from where I am from.”
