Alan Brazil has his say on Archie Gray transfer as Leeds United icon shares Elland Road 'concern'

Alan Brazil is unsure where Archie Gray will play after leaving Leeds United for Tottenham. Spurs beat off competition from Premier League rivals Brentford to sign the England Under-21 international in a deal worth around £30m.

The 18-year-old has penned a six-year-deal at Spurs and will wear shirt number 14. It will be interesting to see where Ange Postecoglou fits into Spurs' plans. Gray made 52 appearances for United last term, acquitting himself well both at right-back and in central midfield.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Brazil said: “I really do wish this kid [Gray] well. I can’t work out if he’s a full-back or a midfield player at the moment.”

The teenager insists he is not "worried" where he plays and has vowed to give "100 per cent" to the cause. The move to North London offers Gray the chance to play European football next season following Spurs' Europa League qualification.

"It’s a huge move for him," said Andy Townsend. "It’s a great chance you know. It really is and hopefully, he does great.”

United were reluctant to sell homegrown talent Gray but needed to raise funds to comply with Profitability and Sustainability regulations (PSR). Former Whites skipper Lucas Radebe has had his say on Gray's departure.

Writing on his social media account X, the United icon wrote: “Losing our best players, Leeds United, is concerning especially young talent. It’s all about career choices. Well done Archie Gray and all the best.”
