Burke was due to perform on a 13-date tour of the United Kingdom this September, where she planned to promote and push her latest album The Truth which was released in February.
She was set to embark on the tour after recently finishing a stint playing Svetlana Sergievsky in the West End show Chess.
The Truth is the The X Factor alumni’s third studio album, following on from successful release of 2009’s chart-topper Overcome and 2012’s less well-received Heartbreak on Hold.
Burke won the 2008 series of The X Factor and her single Hallelujah shot to the top of the chart becoming the 2008 Christmas Number One, having sold 576,000 copies in its first week and shifting over 1.2 million by the following summer.
