ALMOST PAGE 1: Of high school music, 35 years of service and more

Jan. 14----Clarinet player Kiera Krogmann and trumpet player Isabelle Bolton, both of Camanche High School, are among the roughly 100 band students from 25 high schools in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin who will participate in the University of Dubuque High School Honor Band on Friday, Jan. 19. Thee all-day event will culminate with a free, public student concert at 7 p.m. in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center.

—Clinton County Communications is recognizing Margaret Crosthwaite for 35 years of service.

—Christina Bohannan, a Democrat who is challenging Republican U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks after losing to her in 2022 by six votes, reported raising more than $650,000 in the fourth quarter of 2023. Her campaign says she has raised more than $1.3 million since getting in the race.
